Mentoring
Transforming Futures
At Forward Ever Education, we are dedicated to supporting mentees through youth mentoring that is safeguarding-led, trauma-informed and rooted in trusted 1–1 relationships.
Our mentoring services are designed to help mentees feel supported, build confidence and develop positive pathways forward.
What is mentoring?
Mentoring is a structured, relationship-based approach that connects Mentees with a trained, trusted adult — a mentor — who provides consistent support, guidance and encouragement.
Our mentoring for young people and adults focuses on building safe relationships, strengthening protective factors and supporting mentees to navigate challenges in their lives.
Youth Mentoring
At Forward Ever Education, our youth mentoring programmes are designed to support young people (ages 10-18) facing challenges such as school exclusion, care experience, or involvement with the justice system.
Our mentoring provides:
-
Consistent 1–1 support from a trained, trusted mentor
-
Guidance to build confidence, self-esteem, and emotional regulation
-
Help to navigate peer pressure, risk, and challenging relationships
-
Support to re-engage with education, training, or services
-
Opportunities to explore identity, aspirations, and positive pathways
All mentoring is safeguarding-led, trauma-informed, and tailored to the individual needs of each young person. Mentoring works alongside existing support services, not as a replacement for statutory care or therapy.
Adult Mentoring
Our adult mentoring programmes support individuals leaving custody or navigating other complex life transitions. Mentors provide structured, relationship-based guidance to help mentees develop skills, confidence, and resilience as they rebuild their lives.
Key support includes:
-
1–1 mentoring with a trained, trusted adult
-
Assistance in building protective factors and life skills
-
Guidance to navigate practical challenges, relationships, and decision-making
-
Support in setting and achieving personal, education, or employment goals
-
Encouragement to develop positive routines and pathways forward
All adult mentoring is safeguarding-led and trauma-informed, working alongside existing statutory or community support services to ensure safe, tailored, and effective mentoring.
