An introduction to Street Dance in association with Daisy Roots Movement
Daisy Roots Movement is a dance collective founded in 2015. Melodie Brannan is a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer with over 22 years of experience in many aspects of the industry including TV, Music Videos, Theatre, Live Music events and Festivals. DRM has a core team of multi talented and diverse dancers as well as a network of artists we regularly collaborate with. This creates a rich and versatile team of Dance Artists.
Target Audience
This workshop is suitable for anyone interested in developing their knowledge, skills and confidence in dance.
It is accessible to young people and adults and can be adapted to suit any level.
Workshop Overview
This workshop is designed to share some of the key components in relation to learning dance techniques, such as, body movement, timing, dynamics and expression. The participants will work on a specific routine and can pick from a selection of styles of movement and music culminating in a performance.
It will guide and give insight into the process and preparation for a performance whether live or recorded.
The workshop will be delivered over six sessions with the option for participants to perform to an audience on the final session if restrictions/resources allow this.
